Development Impact For Nigeria aspires to become a leading Diaspora run development agency working in Nigeria
DIFN has been in existence since 1999 initially starting of as CIFN, an ecumenical agency working mainly with the church in Nigeria to address the issues of HIV/AIDS Awareness, Prevention and Care/Support.
We have now evolved into being a holistic development agency working in partnership with several Nigerian based Community Based Organisations, NGOs, Schools, Faith Groups, State and Local Government Agencies.

Strategic Development Plan

Following our new 5 year Strategic Development Plan 2008 -2012 DIFN will be focusing on the following:

  1. Organising development awareness workshops and events targeting the Nigerian community living in the UK and other interested individuals and groups. Focusing on discussing and funding Nigeria focused Millennium Development Goals [MDGs]and other related development / social policy issues.
  2. Programme development in Nigeria especially in relation to contributing the Nigeria focused MDGs by 2015
  3. Developing volunteer programes utilising the skills of UK based Nigerians and other interested individulas and groups in the area of development, youth & community work, social work, education, community health, social policy development and local government administration. DIFN is particularly keen to engage with youth from the BME communities in the UK wanting youth volunteering options in global youth work and educational field trips
