Volunteering In Nigeria

DIFN is engaging with the Nigeria Diaspora and BME community in the UK [and other interested individuals and groups] offering relevant community development related volunteer placements in Nigeria.

This new initiative comprises of the following:

 

 

 

Programme A

Project 17/25 Youth / Young Adult Volunteer Placements especially during the Easter and summer holidays

Programme B

Specialist Trainer / Resource Person Placement. Focus will be in the areas of Youth Work, Social Work, Development / Community Work, Health Education, Primary & Secondary Teaching, Social Policy and Local Government Administration. DIFN will be compiling a data base of UK based Nigerian professionals and designing training programmes in Nigeria on request by state & local governments and NGOs / CBOs

Programme C

Local Government Capacity Building. UK based Nigerian professionals helping to facilitate DIFN’s annual Local Government Conference slated for February of each year.

Programme D

Development oriented Field Trips. DIFN is also keen to be a field trips provider to UK based university students needing a challenging but rewarding field placement. Such students may be studying such disciplines as Youth & Community Development, Community Education, Development Studies and Community Health.

Placements will usually be with Ipaja Community Link and other community based organisations they work with.
